Restrictions

There are very few things which cannot be Mystery Shopped. However, there are some restrictions and guidelines in terms of how this is done. These include:

  • – Staff in your business must be told if they might be mystery shopped
    • If by telephone, they should also be informed that they may be recorded
    • However, they do not need to be told when it will happen


  • – You can Mystery Shop your competitors. For simple transactions where a purchase is made, there are few restrictions. However, for more complex scenarios where a purchase may not be made, restrictions on length of time you can ‘waste’ are in place and we would discuss these with you once we had clarified your requirements.
